Here is a complete background on how to make your own solar panels for just $107.45. All I used is included in the list below:

Solar Cells
Wood. Cheap wood you can find anywhere.
Plexi glass thrown out from a business
Old screws
This one I had to buy: Silicone Caulk
Wiring
Diode, something to use on the solar cells.
Some spray paint I had in the garage for painting some light covers. It’s really up to you if you want to paint the wood
Jones Plug

When you make your own solar panels, it can be really fun and also save you money in the long run. Imagine if everyone reduced their energy consumption if they all had solar panels. Take it from me, I dropped out of college and I was still able to finish this.

First thing I did was hop in the truck and pick up supplies. The cool thing is that I’ll show you where you can get these things for pennies on the dollar. Manufacturers have error problems and whenever they have defects, they throw these things out. You can get them for free and maybe pennies. The things that can be received for cheap are solar cells that are broken but still usable, wiring and plastic plexiglass.

How to Make Your Own Solar Panels
If you can’t get them for free, your local hardware store like Home Depot or Lowes has them for relatively cheap. If you want, you can also get a rechargeable battery to use to charge. It’s optional to have the battery.

You can either connect the solar panels to the rechargeable battery or to the Jones Plug.

Smart people plan, be sure you plan because you will be working with electricity. Make sure that you are ready to do this because electricity can be dangerous. Not to scare you but it’s better to be safe than sorry. This little blurb will give you a bit of background. Look at this link for more information on detailed plans: Make Your Own Solar Panel.

Be prepared that it can be a challenge to know how to build your own solar panels and that it’s not completely easy. You don’t need to be a genius to build you own solar panels though.

You can reduce your entire electric bill or reduce it about 50%. (If you can harness the power of solar energy with my instructions on how to build your own solar panels, you certainly can do so.You can easily do it yourself if you have the right instructions.Bear in mind that you’ll need the right diagrams and guides to help you along the way.Keep in mind that the source of how to build your own solar panels must be reliable and give you step by step diagrams to help you out.) Each panel will cost about $100 to $150 to build using the shopping list I have above.
